Can i sell my property if There is Japanese knotweed in the garden?

Generally, there will be no issue selling your property if there is Japanese knotweed present AND it is being treated by a professional weed control company (or if it is scheduled to be treated as part of a Japanese knotweed management plan). Sometimes difficulties arise if the new mortgage lender is uncertain whether or not the Japanese knotweed poses a threat to the structure of the building or any associated structures. A professional survey and report may be required and then the production of a Japanese knotweed management plan. Professional treatment of the Japanese knotweed will usually follow. 

Can you clear all the plants and rubbish from my garden?

In most cases, yes! Sometimes there may be issues if there are nesting birds, protected species (e.g. badgers) or tree preservation orders (TPO). Get in touch if you want a price for a garden clearance.
